Controller

Our client is seeking a qualified controller to join their organization. This is a Direct Hire Opportunity.

Qualifications: 

‍

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance

• CPA designation is a must have.

• 10 years of progressive experience in Finance and Accounting roles.

• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP.

Responsibilities:

‍

• Supporting, and coaching of a team of four covering Payroll, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Accounting

• Completion and reporting of monthly financial statements within four days of month-end.

• Consolidating two local entities and reporting results to the parent company.

• Prepare a full set of monthly reconciliations in support of balance sheet accounts including inventory and customer deposits.

• Working directly with the parent company to ensure all intercompany accounts are in balance.

• Improve current accounting practices and processes.

• Working with the business on various initiatives to ensure appropriate accounting and management practices are in place.

• Monitoring results and comparison to targets.

• Reporting results to local management.

• Lead the internal control process and ultimately ensure the business is compliant with corporate controls (SOX)
