Mechanical Engineer

Our client is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join their team. A terrific opportunity for an individual with an entrepreneurial mindset and sales personality to quickly grow to lead the engineering group. This is a DIRECT HIRE role.

‍Responsibilities:

• Coordinate various program launches with overseas-based manufacturing team
• Partner and excel in communicating with customers to ensure expectations are met
• Participate in concept design (CAD and/or SolidWorks) to achieve quality final product design
• Participate in design reviews, product validation and estimates
• Prepare, modify and review technical drawings
• Supply relevant information to help with BOMs and engineering masters
• Provide clients with technical and engineering support
• Ensure quality control and cost-efficiencies
• Other duties as required

Qualifications:

• Engineering experience of 5+ years related to consulting, design, and support of manufacturing industry
• Plastics manufacturing experience is a must ... preferably thermoplastics processing and extrusion
• Entrepreneurial mindset, sales-type personality are a must
• BSc. in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) a must
• 3+ years’ experience (CAD, SolidWorks or similar)
• Leadership / management experience
• Understanding of thermoplastics and processing
• FMEA experience asset
• Able to communicate in Spanish is a plus
• Project management, software and PMP designation preferable
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
