Investment Banking Associate

$150 to $200k (USD)/ Annually
Location: GTA (preferably Oakville, Canada) (Must be willing to relocate overseas if required), Ontario

Company Overview:

Our Client, a privately owned financial services firm with an established global client base is seeking a dynamic and experienced investment banking associate to join their team. The successful candidate will play an integral role in executing all aspects of the business alongside the company’s principals and its global partners in advising clients across diverse industries, including the iGaming, Cryptocurrency, proprietary gambling syndicates, Payments, Healthcare, Real Estate and Hospitality sectors, as well as the management of asset portfolios for family offices of HNWI.

This is a Direct Hire Position


  • Evaluate and advise clients on new investment opportunities, including transaction structuring, due diligence, valuations, amongst other related aspects for M&A transactions.
  • Liaise with legal counsel regarding documentation processes.
  • Ensure compliance with legal documents entered into by clients.
  • Develop business plans on behalf of clients and investors.
  • Develop and maintain bespoke corporate financial models from scratch.
  • Participate in the operational aspects of businesses acquired by clients, as required.
  • Monitor performance of businesses and assets acquired by clients.
  • Compile investment/offering memoranda in support of capital raising efforts.
  • Develop board-level briefing documents for investors and clients.
  • Conduct research in support of business activities, including market trends and regulatory changes, amongst other aspects.
  • Work collaboratively with clients and team members across multiple time zones.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of deals.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in Corporate Finance with an Investment Banking or Private Equity firm.
  • Experience in reviewing corporate legal documents and participating in documentation processes for corporate transactions.
  • MBA is preferable but not mandatory.
  • Strong analytical skills and expert corporate financial modelling skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including business writing at a native English level.
